What is aniline black?
2024-01-04
Soluble aniline black is widely used in the dyeing and printing of cotton fabrics. When dyeing, the cotton fabric is first immersed in a solution made of aniline salt, etc., and then oxidized to be dyed black. The dyed product is resistant to sun and rain and is firm to hot soap solutions and dilute bleach solutions. When oxidized, it is blue-black and easy to cause brittle damage. Insufficient oxidation or can be reduced to green. At present, most of them are made into commercial aniline black, sold as organic pigments, and their products include oil-soluble aniline black (referred to as oil-soluble black) and alcohol-soluble aniline black (referred to as alcohol-soluble black).
CAS 11099-03-9 Melting point 275 ℃
Physical and chemical properties: black powder, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol (blue black), benzene and toluene, soluble in oleic acid and stearic acid, blue to blue black in case of concentrated sulfuric acid, blue black precipitate after dilution, blue to blue black in case of concentrated nitric acid, good acid resistance and sun resistance.
Product use: used for rubber, high-grade insulation bakelite, paper and leather shoe polish coloring.
Safety Terminology S24/25-Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Performance and use
Aniline black has strong coloring power, low dispersion energy, strong light absorption performance and good color stability. Because of the strong adhesion in the paint, the pigment can also produce a matting effect (with a soft appearance).
Uses: nigrosine may be an early organic synthetic pigment.
